EXTENDED PRODUCER RESPONSIBILITY

Turn Waste Obligations Into Traceable Action

Extended Producer Responsibility makes covered producers responsible for defined end-of-life outcomes. Hindsecure helps businesses map their obligation, understand certificate requirements, identify registered counterparties and coordinate a compliant sourcing strategy under the applicable waste-stream rules.

HOW IT WORKS

How an EPR Certificate System Works

An obligation arises when a covered producer places specified products or packaging on the market. A registered recycler or processor completes eligible activity, and the prescribed portal records the resulting certificate. The certificate may then be transferred to an obligated entity and applied against the relevant requirement, subject to portal validation.

Every step remains subject to the rules, portal controls and evidence for that waste stream.
WASTE STREAMS

EPR Is Not One Market

01

Plastic Packaging

Obligations may apply to producers, importers and brand owners under the plastic packaging framework, with category-specific requirements and portal processes.

02

E-waste

Covered electrical and electronic equipment follows the E-Waste Management Rules and its recycling-linked EPR system.

03

Batteries

Battery waste rules cover defined portable, automotive, electric-vehicle and industrial battery categories with registered producers, recyclers and refurbishers.

04

Waste Tyres

Tyre producers meet applicable obligations through eligible recycling or retreading outcomes and the prescribed certificate system.

05

Used Oil

Used oil has its own EPR rules, registered participants, targets and portal route. Used oil follows a separate regulatory pathway from tyre EPR.

06

End-of-life Vehicles

End-of-life vehicles follow the applicable rules and CPCB portal route. Requirements depend on the covered vehicle category and current regulatory provisions.
